A Two-Stage Wavelet Decomposition Method for Instantaneous Power Quality Indices Estimation Considering Interharmonics and Transient Disturbances

As the complexity increases in modern power systems, quality (PQ) analysis considering interharmonics has become a challenging and important task. This article proposes novel decomposition estimation method for instantaneous PQ indices (PQIs) monitoring single- three-phase systems with transient disturbances. To separate interharmonic components, set of new scaling filter wavelet narrow transition bands is designed undecimated packet transform (UWPT). Furthermore, two-stage multitone voltage current signals proposed. The Hilbert (HT) applied to calculate amplitude phase each frequency component, which accordingly allows different PQI parameters. Numerical tests are conducted check performance proposed method. test results show that, compared other conventional approaches, PQIs estimated by present significant advances tracking transitory changes could be considered as helpful tool high-accuracy detections.
